The Ayrshire, Dumfries and Galloway Branch of the RSPBA is committed to lifelong learning through it’s structured learning courses.
After a very successful Elementary course in 2006 with almost 30 pupils going through exams, the branch is now looking for anyone interested in in either an Elementary or Intermediate course for the winter of 2007. Anyone interested please fill in the form below which will be received by the branch secretary who will get back to you once the level of interest is known.
You can also purchase any necessary learning materials for all 3 structured learning courses directly from the Online Store at out parent site RSPBA HQ, or materials can be purchased at the courses.
A history of The Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association Annual Summer Schools has been written by John McKenzie, the drumming mentor of the Summer Schools since 1995. You can read his article here
RSPBA Headquarters also run their annual summer school which is open to all pipers and drummers of any age / experience from any RSPBA affiliated band. This course runs for 1 week in July. More information and registration can be found at the RSPBA Website.
